Coyne Valley Road Culvert Replacement

April 18th – September

Beginning on April 18th, Coyne Valley Road will be closed between State Highway 9 and Denison Placer Road through September. Visitors to the Peak 7 neighborhood and businesses near the closure should follow the posted detour to Valley Brook Street and Airport Road. Access to businesses and the Recycle Center will remain open throughout the project.

This project is the replacement of the existing undersized culverts that passes the Blue River under Coyne Valley Road and the addition of an underpass for the Rec Path. This project was delayed in 2016 and again in 2020 and must be completed now to protect the new housing developments downstream.

Park Avenue/ Watson Avenue Roundabout

April 18th – November

Work on the new roundabout begins April 18th and will continue through to November. There will be no roadway closures for this project, but delays are anticipated through the work zone on Park Avenue. Access to the Transit Station, gondola, and parking lots will remain open.

This project is Phase 2 of the S. Gondola Lot Parking Structure. The roundabout is needed to handle the additional traffic generated from the additional 400 parking spaces added to the S. Gondola Lot. In addition, the roundabout improves Transit functionality by allowing better southbound movements from Watson.  The work include extensive storm drainage improvements, an Xcel gas line relocation, and additional laneage on Park Ave in both directions.
